Finding your perfection foundation!

Foundation helps give a smooth, uniform colour and covers and imperfections and makes the skin look even. Foundation can come in a liquid, cream, or powder. Some foundations also function as a tinted moisturiser and can also have a SPF built into it.

Here are some tips for choosing the right foundation for you:

  1. First off you need to determine your skin type: whether it be oily, dry, combination, sensitive, or normal, as this will help you choose a foundation that will work well with your skin.

  2. What is the undertone of your skin? How to determine your skin undertone, whether it be warm (yellow or golden), cool (pink or red), or neutral, as this will help you choose a foundation that matches your skin tone.

  3. Decide how much coverage you want from your foundation, whether it be sheer, medium, or full, and choose a foundation formula that suits you. Sometimes a sheer coverage can be used to create a buildable foundation by applying a few extra layers on top.

  4. Test the foundation shade on your jawline and on your chest and then check the colour in natural daylight. Make sure it blends into your skin tone seamlessly.

  5. Try it on: Apply the foundation to your face, using your fingers, a brush, or a sponge, and check it in natural light to see how it looks and feels and if it covers the right amount for you.

  6. Always read the ingredients list to ensure that the foundation is free of ingredients that may cause irritation or breakouts, and that it contains ingredients that are good for your skin.

  7. Experiment with different formulas: Try different foundation formulas, such as liquid, powder, or stick, to see what works best for your skin type and desired look.

By following these tips, you can choose a foundation that will provide you with the coverage, finish, and skin benefits that you need, and that will help you achieve a flawless and radiant complexion.
