About Me

I have been a professional makeup artist & hairstylist in London since 2002 where I trained at the prestigious Glauca Rossi School of Makeup in London. I trained under the talented artist, Hannah Murray, who was Charlotte Tilbury's First Assistant at the time and she taught me how to create that ultimate glossy skin and nude lipstick the Charlotte Tilbury way! This was a long time before Charlotte Tilbury's products came to life!

In my 20+ year career I have worked with many celebrities, creating hair and makeup for commercial & advertising photo shoots and magazine/fashion houses.

 

I am the lead fashion and beauty tutor at Brushstroke Makeup School in Longcross and Elstree Studios where I have taught for the past 15 years. I teach fashion and beauty makeup as well as the bridal makeup & hairstyling course. I am the ITEC qualifications manager, and I ensure the beauty element of their ITEC syllabus remains relevant and focused. I’ve been teaching professional makeup courses since 2007 to hundreds of students who want to go into the makeup/hairstyling industry. I help them to follow their dreams and make them a reality. A lot of my students have gone onto successful careers within the TV, theatre and fashion industry and seeing their work in credits makes me very proud of their achievements.

I am originally from South Africa and moved to the UK when I was 22 years old. I now live happily in Twickenham, Surrey (Southwest London - where my makeup studio is based), with my amazing husband and two children, Eva & Alex. They keep me very busy with gymnastic and martial art runs when I am not doing makeup! I also have a red miniature dachshund called Rosie Bear who always brightens up my day and is literally my shadow. I am sure you will see her a lot on my Instagram posts!
