Years of experience (and a few rounds at LFW!) definitely prepare you for those moments: late running of rehearsals, bad lighting, freezing rooms…
Working fast but flawlessly is key! Thank goodness for my Neewer light @neewer and a hairdryer @ghdhairpro (for styling and keeping the talent warm 😂). When the dress didn’t fit right, we flipped it backwards and restyled the whole look and it turned out even better!
At the end of the day, it’s all about creating magic. ✨
Thank you, Emma, for trusting me with your hair & makeup especially when an updo isn’t your usual go-to! You looked absolutely sensational. 💖

I remember this shoot so well— @rebekahroy_ and I travelled from London to Knowle for this shoot with photographer Tajinder. We had such a good time on set, and I was absolutely in awe of Theo and Mark Anthony’s incredible hair creations.

Creating the makeup looks for this collection was a dream come true. Also seeing our work published in Hairdressers Journal @hairdressersjournal and seeing our credits in print was very cool!

I need to find out exactly dates of this but I think it was from around 2004! Looking back, I’m so proud of how far I’ve come. Little makeup-artist Carla would never have believed this!

I first met Key Hairstylist Simon @siizzard 23 years ago, right at the start of my journey as a makeup artist, so getting to join his hair team for LFW was truly a dream come true. Thank you, Si, for having me! It was so much fun creating those sleek, high-shine looks with the perfect kiss curls to finish!

It was also such a special moment seeing Nancy @nancykhanmakeup , a graduate from Brushstroke Makeup School, and working alongside her to bring some amazing hair looks to life. Loved every second of it!

When I recently attended the Pat McGrath Labs @patmcgrathreal masterclass with Petr @facedesigneruk I just knew I had to try out the Glass Skin Mask!

During my photoshoot with @aperturebeautyproduction I applied the glass skin to my beautiful model Ameisha @ameishabritneyx and then we captured her peeling it off! Trying it get it in one skin peel was a little tricky though! 🤣 The mask was so hydrating it left Ameisha’s skin so silky soft she couldn’t stop touching it! I loved how this photoshoot turned out and can’t wait to use the mask again when I teach my fashion class in October!

Blurred lips is my signature, and I’m obsessed with this soft, bitten effect!
I used the @annabelleminerals_uk Cream Blush Balm in ‘Red Velvet’ to blur out the lips — it melts in like magic and pairs perfectly with the statement red jewelled hairpiece by @mariapolianska_design

To finish the look, I added a touch of flutter using @ilashuk.co.uk lashes and that dreamy glow from the Pink Soulmates blush palette by @charlottetilbury

For the hair I used @ghdhairpro @ghdhair Soft Curve Tong to create soft waves in Asha’s hair.

What an incredible day at Brushstroke Elstree Academy! I had the absolute pleasure of hosting a masterclass with the amazing @bobbibrownuk Pro Artists—Warren @warrendowdall_proartist and Hollie @bbpro_hollieolivia

Warren kicked things off with expert skincare tips, including lymphatic drainage techniques and how to create that signature Bobbi Brown glow. He also shared game-changing colour correction advice. Then Hollie wowed us with eyeliner magic—demonstrating double lining and tightlining techniques that took the look to the next level.

The session was packed with pro-level insights—and to top it off, the students were surprised with a gift from the Bobbi Brown collection. A huge thank you to Warren and Hollie for such an inspiring and generous day!

This look is all about soft, romantic waves and a playful finish.

I prepped the hair using @ghdhairpro Pick Me Up Root Lift Spray and Heat Protection Spray, followed by Curly Ever After to hold the style. Then I used the GHD Curve Soft Curl Tong to create these effortless waves.

Gorgeous Bride Alert! I had the pleasure of creating Tetiana’s hair and makeup for her special wedding day getting her ready at the beautiful @thepetershamhotel and her reception was held at the @thewharfteddington where she took a boat to along the Thames.

To create her soft, voluminous waves, I used seamless clip-in extensions from @cliphairlimited for added fullness and natural movement.

What an unforgettable day for our Elstree Makeup students @brushstrokemakeup in the heart of London’s beauty scene – Covent Garden!

We had the ultimate pro experience packed with exclusive masterclasses and serious makeup retail therapy!

Our first stop was MAC Covent Garden, where the incredible @elliesimlettmua wowed us with her Sunset Spritz makeup demo – a radiant, on-trend look perfect for summer, featuring MAC’s latest colour launches @maccosmeticsuki
To top it off, every student received a surprise treat in a lucky dip – a free MAC product to take home!

Next, we dove into the world of SFX and beauty at @kryolanofficial
Students explored a range of pro-grade products from multiple brands, expanding their knowledge of both everyday glam and specialist effects makeup.

Then it was off to NARS, where the talented Laila showcased her stunning Ethereal Grunge look – edgy, dreamy, and totally inspiring. Our students also enjoyed a generous pro discount shop at the Covent Garden boutique @coventgardennars @narsissist

To wrap up the day, we headed to Charlotte Tilbury’s iconic boutique for a fabulous masterclass led by the amazing Emalie @makeupbyemalie and Megan @meganmoodiemakeup
Students got the inside scoop on CT’s skincare and makeup must-haves, plus the chance to snap Insta-worthy photos and enjoy exclusive pro shopping! @ctcoventgardenboutique @charlottetilbury
